Inspired by the (no longer standing) Nakagin Capsule Tower in Japan. If you are unfamiliar with the building I definitely recommend looking it up and reading about it!I am forever curious about old buildings and I often like to imagine what they were like when they were first built and how bustling they were in their prime.
I saw photos of some of the capsules that were in disrepair and overrun by nature and really wanted to create an image of one being cozy and lived in.
I plan to make more art within this theme of preserving the memory of unique places from the past that are no longer around and applying my own little twist and a retro aesthetic.
