Description Here we have a collection of Argus pheasant feathers for sale. These in particular are broken oculi feathers. I am really just seeing if there is any interest in the purchase of these feathers. If so, then I will individually price and photograph them for interested parties. feathers from these birds do not come cheap, but I am a VERY reasonable person. The feathers I have are from several dead specimens, I am limited in my quantity, but I also have a lot of Argus stuff at the moment. Completely undamaged and pristine oculi feathers are in short supply but are available. Let me know what you need, and I will see if I have it!

We have been unloading some of these on ebay, but we will have a pretty solid "catalog" on meddlingwithnature.com relatively soon. We took off the shop for a bit while we make some site adjustments.

I have about $30 to spend even if it's just for a couple. The patterns on the pictured ones here are what I'm after, but am open to other sizes or just broken pieces..

Got it. I certainly have that! Since my website shopping cart is in the test phases for the next day or so, perhaps we can just work out the 30.00 bucks via paypal(I will factor in shipping and all that, so 30.00 would include that.) I can email you pictures of what you would be receiving prior to that so you can be sure to get what you are looking for? My email is jeremyjohnson888@gmail.com I have all of this accessible, so I can snap some shots when I get home here in a bit.

Thanks for poking around!

I'd so love to have one of these feathers, I've have my eyes peeled for an Argus feather for sometime. Dare I ask how much one large primary would cost me, and how much the four pictured here would cost?

Goodness they're absolutely stunning! Dependant on price I'd definitely want one of the primary wing feathers. I have some of the smaller back feathers and one of these wings feathers (arrived in the post this morning, unfortunately was terribly packed so is very damaged.)

Do you have a price list?

Hey there, Sorry it has taken so long, I have been in "non wifi friendly territory!" I have a price list almost complete, and I will adjust the image descriptions tonight hopefully. I will send you a specific message as soon as I have it together. I will do a "first contact" priority on selling, so you and a few others will have first crack before I open it up to the groups etc. Thanks for your interest! Organizing these feathers can be quite nightmarish.

I ordered about 100 peacock feathers once and half of them were trapped by duct tape. I was so furious I could barely see straight. Because of that experience, I am a very very good packer.

I would be really interested in buying one or more Argus pheasant feathers - you know, just for the heck of it because they're so huge and gorgeous. Having (at least) one big and whole Oculi feather like shown here would be a real must, do these come from the secondaries or from the tail feathers? Also having (at least) one primary wing feather as shown here: [link] Would be really cool. However, this all depends greatly on the prices, any chance you could provide some information on those?

I am competitive in regards to price, but you are right... they are a pretty expensive feather. I will have the price list ready in a few hours I think! The oculi feathers are all secondary wing feathers, the tertials have eyes as well, but they are "in transition." similar to how the eyes of a peacock train transition along the back as well as into the sword feathers. The Argus side tails are pretty cool too, but they don't have the eyes. The two major tail feathers of the Argus are about 5.5 feet long!
