I thought we had this in a much higher res... then again lately I've been shooting RIDICULOUSLY large (like 3800 x 5200) for the RAWs... so, everything is small to me now, doh!

Thank you for sharing this picture, itΒ΄s quite evoking. The fact that you canΒ΄t see the samuraiΒ΄s face makes me remember the concept of the anonymous avenger, asking for a cup of sake, violently solving the bandit problems in a town, then calmly walking away against the sunset

I am simply in love with samurais. There is so much about them to learn and I love the things they lived by. Just they way they did things.
And this shot... wow. That's about all I can say.

My father was stationed in Okinawa during the WWII and the Korean period, so I have a soft spot for Okinawa, as my father really embraced Karate and many things Japanese... he really loved the Japanese, though hated the Koreans. Me? Well, I just love all things Asian, but the Japanese I have a very deep love a respect for above any others...

I really like this picture. I love the silohette(I know, i can't spell) of the man. It makes him stand out against the setting sun.
