Clovyr was usually a heavy sleeper. However tonight, he found himself jolting awake at the sound of an unusually loud clap of thunder. The wyngro shook slightly, amber eyes wide and body shaking from the shock of being startled awake. He looked around his nook, hearing the small whimpers of his roommates who were startled but not enough to be pulled from unconsciousness. It seemed he was the only one.

Clovyr slowly stood in his bed, crawling out and toddling over to the window to see just what was happening outside. His body cast a long shadow across the floor, the room palely illuminated by the frequent flashes of lightning outside. It's a storm alright the little wyngro thought, pulling a stool under the window sill for him to stand on. The wind howled, shaking the branches of trees that formed dancing shadows against the window. The thunder roared, then rumbled grumpily. Clovyr stood up on the stool, pressing his paws and nose against the window as he tried to peer through the thick sheets of rain. He frowned.

He was lucky to not be outside in this right now. He hoped no one was but occasionally he thought he could see the silhouette of other gros and wild animals outside, running to find cover. He could only imagine how they felt, drenched, scared maybe. The little wyngro let out a soft sympathetic whine. The rain beat heavily in hard patters against the window. The thunder grumbled lowly. Clovyr hopped down, padding back to his bed where he would be warm and safe. That's a lot of rain... he thought. But I'll be safe in here.

This is the best I've got for right now. I hope everyone likes it! I decided to draw the prompt for this week because I know how much Clovyr dislikes water.
