From what I remember (I haven't played Okage in a while), the doll was being controlled by the real Marlene in the first place, so I would say yes, he likes her.
The ending hints at this, too. I just don't want to post any more spoilers.

Ah! Okage fan art! Glad to see some other people like this game. It was so much fun and the art style was so cool! But I guess it makes sense why a lot of people don't like it... Anyway, I really like your picture! Nice rendition of the two characters. Best pairing in the game! I love Marlene... ^_^
