For thousands of years Chinese legends have told the tale of magically-powered suits of armor that gave their wearer supreme strength, endurance, and resilience.  Warriors of great renown, heroes of the people and the nation wore them for all to see.  By the mid-Twenty-First Century, mankind had finally advanced to the point that we could create armored suits like those of legend with true power of science.  China built their first powered armor earlier than that of course, but it was not until the final years preceding the Second Great Depression that they saw mass deployment.

The early Celestial Dragons faced their first major test against Japanese combat robots during the Invasion of Japan.  Chinese histories depict them as an unstoppable wave that swept the Japanese defenses away before them.  The Free Japanese on the other hand remember their robots killing the Chinese by the thousands and the streets running red with Chinese blood.  All histories agree that it was the Celestial Dragons that tipped the balance though, wiping out the Japanese robots with their superior mobility and the superior human intellect of their wearers.  They have taken part in the Invasions of Tawain, the Philippines, and every other major Chinese troop movement of the last three centuries.

The Celestial Dragons are the elite faceless storm troopers of the Chinese occupations, heavily armored against small arms attacks.  They can carry any standard infantry weapon, and their enhanced strength allows them to carry heavier weapons with ease as well.  Their helmets sport integrated smart displays that provide detailed information of the world around them, and link with the targeting system of almost any weapons built.  The modern Celestial Dragon is the primary powered armor of the People’s Republic of China and can be seen anywhere the Chinese go.
