was playing tomb raider II yesterday and picked up a key that was called a 'Rusty key' which can only open the rusty lock XD...I just thought that was kinda stupid
So this started off as some meaningless sketch which I then based on the Tomb raider 1 style clothes (with Legend style hair, which i tend to just draw out of habit now) and a more realistic approach to her figure (seriously, she is so unaturally thin in TR1, even for anime XD).
I tried to get the effect with the lighting as if a door in front of her was just opening and the yellow fire light was shining through, but I'm not sure if that worked or not...
I also went a bit crazy with the textures in the background (coughlazinesscoughcough) which I got from this site .

oh and if anyone knows about the 10th anniversary (remake of TR1) edition that, in theory, should be coming out in November (her 10th anniversary), I found out that it's coming out sometime next year :[

I totally agree. I think her original clothes are the best. And I love all of the outfits in Legend, too. But I can't help but wonder what Edios was thinking when they decided that you could 'change Lara's look.' It just seems so feminine. And I like the idea in all, but it just reminds me of a Barbie doll or something (i.e.: "Legend in pink.") Is it hard to beat the time trials? Because I have to go back and complete the time trials after I find a few rewards I missed to unlock the rest of the outfits and extras. I've seen some people have come up with software that actually allows you to design your own clothing for her. I'd like to download that.

- Yea the pink legend outfit and the pink winter one annoyed me. They were way too girly for lara.
- Nah, its not hard at all to do the time trials...well some are kinda hard. But if you know the right way to do them most become pretty easy. When you decide to do the time trials, first try and complete the time trial for the final boss (Bolivia Redux). It may take a few tries (although I did it first time i did it 0.5 seconds OVER the time allowed, but the game still allowed me to pass the time trial anyway 
- About the clothing- I've definitely seen people change the outfits, but im not sure whether you need special software for it or not. I haven't actually tried out myself, but Ive read somewhere that you can locate the files somewhere and alter them in photoshop. But I could be wrong. You should definitely google it well or search it in Tomb Raider forums before u download any software

Yeah, that's it. Although I don't really want to "crack open" the game files and mess around with them, because I don't want to crash the game or something. Your trick for the time trials made me laugh. I'll definately try that, and thanks for that clever tip. I hate those motorcycle levels. I'm really just worried about the England time trial because I always mess up the part where you have to grapple the chandeleir and jump on the rope quickly. Right now I'm trying to get the gold reward in Kazakstan. If you've done it, you know that it's next to impossible to move that platform all the way to the end without it sliding back. I've seen plenty of videos of it on YouTube, but I still can't do it. Long message, true, but I did enjoy reading it very much. Again, thank you very much!

Yeah, and once you screw it up, you can NEVER fix it unless you get it right the first time!!!!! Now I have to do the whole level over again because I already got past that checkpoint. And even with a guid from GameFaqs it's still hard to get ALL the rewards in England and Nepal. I tried that time trial on the last Bolivia level, by the way, and it gives you like 5 mins to do the whole thing! I'm going to need to practice this a lot. I'll have to get a picture of that outfit to see if it's worth all the frustration! I really want the goth outfits, though.

I really like what you did with the proportions,defenitely alot better then the skinny with big boobs look from the earlier games. Also the lighting worked out perfectly nice work. The only real crit i have is that the gun can use some work

So nobody can blame us for doing something wrong...! Apart from that, she has a beautiful face, and you know her because of her pose and clothing, so... Who cares?
