I remember admiring this painting (by my mother) as a youngster, so this has been a real honor to re-create in Illustrator. It means a lot to me to take a painting that was hiding in the closet, and make it so other people can appreciate it. I also love the fact that this has become a collaboration between my mom and me.

This is wonderful. What a lovely thing to do too, taking something your Mum created and bringing into modern medium. (I checked out her charcoals by the way. You really meant it when you said intricate didn't you?? Unbelievable)

...amazing. Like mother, like daughter, eh? I love the rich and vibrant colors, and all the hidden little details; reminds me of those "Find the Hidden Objects" games that I used to play when I was a kid. The fact that this was a collaboration between you and your mom gives it that little sense of special-ness, little, but strong. I saw that you were selling large prints of this, and I'm really getting the itch to get one, just to be able to stare at it all day in large detail.

I love this.
The colour is so vibrant, it really makes me feel alive and happy in a way, free. The shapes are gorgeous, like they actually are alive. I love wild shapes and movements like these. I like the clean, crisp feeling in this, by the vector. And the composition is stunning, props to your mum.
