It was hot enough out Wyn was quick to peel off her hoodie and backpack inside the tent at the end of her shift. She stripped to a tanktop and shorts, and headed out across the sand.

A swim was exactly what she needed, and Buck could use some training out on the Barrier Isle. As she trekked out to the beach, the thought crossed her mind that Martin and Spud might like to go, assuming they were around. She took a detour to poke around camp for him but no one else had seen the Protector in a while and he wasn't in his tent so she gave up her search and headed out with loyal Buck at her side.

Wyn was a strong swimmer, had been since her early youth growing up on an Island herself, and with favorable tides she was able to make it out to the Barrier Isle in good time.

As it happened, Martin and Spud were already there training--
