faces are my favorite thing to draw. the big eyes of manga art really allow for so much emotion, despite what some "artists" think. this is how i feel... this is how roxas feels... emotions can speak for themselves here.Related content

You are right with emotional eyes, and these ones are great! Very beautiful colouring, yet they the picture is very simple, I think that his expression describes his emotion better than words. 8D

Words, can't describe how beautiful this is. Even though it's just the face, the lighting and soft shading is quite stunning. Plus, I love the eyes so much, they're so big, and adorbale. I wish I could say more, but I'm kind of speechless. Amazing work!

Actually, huge eyes do express emotion better. It's been a common thing in animation since the early days of Disney. :3

aw thank you so much... i colored it in paint tool sai. just used the brush tool and.. went at it. i dont know much about special techniques yet

Really? Because I think it looks so complex--but simple at the same time. Like...the finished product is so simple and pretty, but it looks like it must have been hard to color. Maybe that's just because you're good. xD

:] thanks again. well, it may look complex because i took a lot of time on it. i definitely could not have done this a year or two ago. its all about being super adventurous with color palate and balancing it out by being super careful with how you apply it. ... at least.. thats my thought when i start.

I really believe the big eyes capture much more emotion than human eyes in some different ways.

This is incredible, and I love your style. I agree with what you said about eyes, and they're my favorite thing to draw, because they can speak in a manga and express what words can't. I really looooouurrvveee the combinations of blues and greens and a little bit of yellow that you use to color his eye. Favorited for sure!
