Now that is one nice looking picture... i'm really picky when it comes to dragons and their looks, so for the original lineart i give a two thumbs up, and the coloring is excellent too, I particularly like the bluish aura coming from the eye

Thank you! The lines really are nice :3 I dont normaly draw with that much detail XD all my detail work goes in when coloring and the lines later removed.
I am so picky when it comes to dragons its crazy! Quite often when my mom or someone gets me a dragon figurine and look over it and find so many things I don't like XD however the mc.farlane series dragons were really cool
I took a long time designing Meerin, and there are still things I don't 100% like.

yeah those ones were mostly great, I kinda like the look of the black dragons from Heroes 5 too, snake like heads with some horns.. not two thousand of them sprawling from everywhere.. I kinda like to divide metallic and chromatic dragons, the gold, silver and etc. I prefer some chinese styling to them, with a mane on the neck and the tail and the same style of head(though not a snake like body)
and for the black, red, etc. ones I prefer clear scales and horns, my favourite of all is Lee Gibbins' ice dragon: lizard like shape with a massive body...

My preference in dragons are more dinosaur looking. It just seems more natural to me. However if a design is elaborate enough I find myself liking things just like you described. so long as it doesnt look deformed in some way or rather plain.
Something I don't like about dragons are the wings. I don't like wings that connect at the shoulder rather then carrying on down the body. Membranes that carry down the body look as if they could help carry the dragons weight in flight while the others sort of look like fins rather then wings. Also long necks D: I get bothered by long necks because carnivores don't need them. Long necks were made for reaching leaves on tall trees. Dragons with sharp pointy teeth dont need that I think XD
Those are the two main things I find and complain about often. But it doesn't stop me from lovin dragons

I consider that some dragons with long necks are ok because they eat fish by diving into water head first and doing the opposite of elasmosaurus/plesiosaurus 
or doing fly by's on small land creatures
I always loved dinosaurs too
the thing I hate most is when dragons have pectoral muscles and shoulders that are connected in a humanoid fashion.. there's too many of that everywhere (I like them reptilian too) and wings of course have to be connected to a place near the gravity center

I know exactly what you mean. Long necks do work on aquatic dragons but not as much for regular. And pectoral muscles yes.. makes it look too human and not reptillian. I mean they do have a muscule structure similar there or would but it wouldnt show like that. More like a horse does, not so boxy. And the wings I hate it when they are either waaaaay to low or too far up, if they are farther up it would be more of a glider than a flier.
