We are the ghosts whispering through your dreams,creeping along the corridor of your psyche,
cold dead fingertips clutching the links of your rabbitproof fence,
spines pressing back sinking into the cold metal.
Stroking your nightmares to life, we draw spiderwebs of terror in their blank canvas irises,
and slip away giggling maniacally,
waiting, waiting, waiting for you to realize that we are here,
and we are not leaving.
