Harrison's curiosity was piqued, of course. The visitor had completely changed his mother's mood, something that only happened in the most drastic situations. She was a graceful Grovyle--never surprised, never missed a beat, and always a step or two ahead. She was much like Harrison's father, which may have been why they got along so well in the beginning, Harry always assumed. They settled for a while to start what they had there, but the thrill of adventure couldn't keep him tied down forever. She never truly understood him, no matter how much time she spent with him. And with upbringings as different as theirs, it was understandable to misunderstand a few things.

Indy was his name, or at least what he called himself. Harry rarely got to see him, and even when he did it was in the company of his seven siblings and his mother, who didn't all get along with him very well. He never had the chance to truly meet him; to sit down and talk with him one-on-one and hear what he had to say. Still, Harry idolized his Dad, and wanted his lifestyle more than anything he had ever wanted before, though he was still an adolescent. To the disdain of his relatives, he talked at the dinner table about brilliant troves of treasure; gleaming gold and shimmering diamonds hidden away in caves in mountains and deep underwater, and of stories he heard from his father describing the vicious beasts that guarded said treasure, killing anyone foolish enough to enter into their lairs. It frightened his family, but excited Harry.

Harry's mother nodded and muttered a few things to the visitor, then she shut the door and slowly dragged her feet back to the table, where she sat wordlessly for almost a full minute. Her attempts at holding back the tears in her eyes were futile as one finally broke through and slid down the side of her cheek.

Though the eight small Treeckos at the dinner table were shocked into silence by their mother's sudden change in moods, it didn't take long before the inevitable question was asked:

"Mama? What's wrong?"

It was a few seconds before she reacted at all to Harry's question, the youngest (though not by much) of the eight. She seemed to be spaced out, before coming to and wiping her eyes with a bright yellow napkin on the table. She stuttered uncharacteristically, searching for an easy way to put it to her worried children.

She finally decided there was only one way to break it to them.

"Kids", she began. "It's your father..."

This is part 1 out of I don't know. I think I'm gonna call this 'Full Circle'. It's not as 3edgy5me as it lets on, really.

And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's gonna be ca$h. But since I'm not PK, it'll take a while to get done. Sit tight or don't read it until it's complete or whatever it is you do.
