Butron castle is located in Gatica in the province of Vizcaya in Spain.It dates originally from the Middle Ages, although it owes its present appearance to an almost complete rebuilding begun by Francisco de Cubas (also known as MarquΓ©s de Cubas) in 1878.
The castle has a fairy-tale look about it inspired by Bavarian castle models.
It fell into disuse and was later renovated and opened to the public. This proved to be unsuccessful and as of 2008 the building is closed to visitors although the grounds remain open.

Thank you, my friend! I imagine the work that must have been in order that the masons of that time build these walls. Near to their effort mine is small. With respect to their work I think that it is my duty to represent it as loyally as possible this most beautiful castle.
