Description
This is a model based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic/Portal 2 crossover fanfiction "Better Living Through Science and Ponies," which takes place after Portal 2. In it, after being transported to Equestria and becoming a pony, Chell finds out that GLaDOS is kidnapping the citizens of Ponyville and using them as test subjects. Obviously human equipment wouldn't help them, so the evil AI modifies the portal gun to fit a pony's hoof. She also combines it with a long fall boot so the test subjects can safely land without having to worry about damaging the gun.What's important, however, is what this model is for. I am a member of a currently small but hardworking team of creative bronies known as Thinking with Ponies. We are working on a mod for Portal 2 to allow you to play through this fanfiction and all of its Portal and pony goodness! We do not have all that much work done, but we are still relatively early in development, so we will continue working hard on it.
Note that this is by no means the final model. This is simply a rough work done by me. It still definitely needs some ironing-out. It serves its purpose for now, though.

Change the solid white/black to some actual textures, and it'll look perfect.

BTW, I personally thought the design would be different myself. I'd figure the part of the gun that fires would be on the souls of the feet, along with the 3 prongs. Would allow for more accurate aiming, you think? As for the shape, well, it'd look like a white oval, like the body of a turret, with the firing part on one side, and the other side would have a large hole for the pony leg to fit in. Inside that hole is, of course, the trigger mechanism. The trigger mechanism would consist of three buttons. One to fire blue portals, one to fire orange portals, and one to make the portal gun hold objects in the gravity field worked by the three prongs.
You'd probably think it'd be a bad idea to make the muzzle of the gun the bit that always hits the ground, but I figure GLaDOS had found a way. I imagine she made the muzzle of the gun thick enough to handle the constant landings from long distance falls.

Well, the team and I had discussed that, but we thought that a front-of-hoof gun would be easier to make and more practical, and some parts of the story would make more sense. Plus, A) it'd be difficult for a pony to aim upwards if it was on the bottom of the hoof, and B) remember that it's combined with a long-fall boot, which requires certain parts to it.

I'd suggest a name change. I googled "Thinking with Ponies" to see if the project had a website. Results were not good. Not good at all.
