Description Kiara didn't look back after she left the Nyika Lands. She had only one thought. Get home. So she ran until her paws touched the Pride Lands. Kiara walked to a watering hole nearby. With all of the adrenaline gone, she realized how tired she was from the long run. It was afternoon when she ran off, now it was nightfall. Kiara still had enough energy to let some tears fall.

Simba and Nala weren't too far behind their daughter. The entire way back home they called to her but Kiara refused to stop running. The King and Queen weren't as young as they used to be and couldn't keep up with their daughter. When they arrived back in the Lands, they saw Kiara down the hill, sitting near the water edge. Simba took a deep breath and started to make his way down to her, but not before Nala blocked his path.

"I think we should leave her alone for a little while." Said Nala.

Simba looked at his wife and back down to his daughter. They didn't call after her all the way home just to not talk to her.

"Nala, I know she's upset but we need answers. She ran off crying in front of Alheri and Izem, didn't tell them where Nakar was, and left without an explanation." Simba took a breath to calm himself down. "I understand we are probably the last ones she wants to talk to right now, but we need to."

"Simba, I think you're the last one she wants to talk to right now. You made her do this. To go see Nakar when you know she doesn't care for him in anyway. I told you to be patient with her but instead you arranged this meeting and made a deal with Kiara to get her to go." Nala stood in front of Simba while she told him all of this. Yes, she wanted answers just as much as he did, but now was not the time.

Simba broke eye contact with Nala. He thought over what she just said. He knew Kiara would partially blame him for this. But he's just worried about her future. He wanted to get her thinking about finding a partner to rule with. He didn't want her to feel like she had to find some lion right away, but just start thinking and looking for suitable partner. This is why he needs to talk to his daughter, to explain to her why he did this. The last thing he wanted was to her to be upset.

"I should talk to her. Please, Nala. I won't make her explain anything about what happened. I need to explain myself to her." Simba begged Nala.

Nala tried to read Simba to see if he was honest. She was always good at that, even when they were cubs. Nala determined Simba was telling the truth. She looked back at her daughter who has sat in the same spot since they arrived. "Okay. But you do not ask her about what happened back at the Nyika Lands unless you genuinely feel something horrible happened to her there. Other than that, you explain to her why you went against her wishes and did all this. Don't make her talk. That'll only push her away even more."

Nala stepped out of Simba's path. "I'm heading back to Pride Rock to let the others know we're home." She turned away and walked a couple of steps before turning back to Simba.

"Please Simba, don't push her anymore." With that, Nala left.

Simba watched his wife make her way back home for a couple of minutes before talking to his daughter. He took a deep breath and looked up into the starry night sky.

"Father, how were you able to talk to me so easily? I feel like every time I try to talk to Kiara she pulls further and further away from me. I don't know where it started to go wrong between us. I thought her and I would always have the father daughter bond like we have the father son bond, but now, I feel like the bond is hanging on by a couple of threads. Can you give me any guidance for this? I don't want to lose my little girl." Simba waited for a response but night was silent. Simba bowed his head and sighed. "I can't lose another child."

Simba mustered up the courage to talk to Kiara. He would tread lightly on the conversation, because he feared this would be the last time she'd talk to him.

Hope you guys enjoy!!!
