The creation of Launch Man was the result of Dr.Wily practicing his flying robots and then when he captured Tornado Man, he tried to replicate his flying abilities and have more combat focus. Launch Man would help provide air support to his fortress, but his development came to a halt when Mega Man figured out that Dr.Light was framed. This has caused Launch Man to be put off to the side and hopefully developed in later years.

Launch Man is a heavy hitter, he tries to conserve of missiles by carefully launching them at specific locations. It’s when he feels he is too damaged or he wants to end a fight quickly that he starts chaotic attacks and spams missiles in combat. He is best friends with Combat Man, both help each other out when they are in a fight. Combat Man will help provide ground support while Launch Man provides for the air. He likes to fly around as a way of relaxing, but hates it when he is provoked to where he crashes.
