100% Tablet!
I've been wanting to practice drawing with my tablet, but lately I didn't have the time. Today I got a "Creativity Overflow" and spent nearly all afternoon drawing with my tablet.
I achieved several pics, but wasn't too keen on any of them, except this one.
If you ever played "Dwarf Fortress", the scene in the pic may just be very familiar to you. Oh yes, those wacky, tree-hugging elves! They just freak out if you ever attempt to trade anything wood-related with them, even a small, wooden dagger!
And then they complain that you are chopping down too many trees, the darn naturalists. I need to remember to set up a lava trap for next year's trading, bwahahahaha...

In a recent game I had an Elven caravan come by over. I thought of what could happen if I chop down a tree in front of them, I sent a dwarf over and fell a tree close by (since I have a trade depot outside my fortress). They seem very unfazed by it.

They mostly notice when they do business with you. After a visit from their merchants they may comment about the fallen trees, and politely ask you to stop lumbering them in such quantities.
After that, they might not be as polite.

all the comments here being on how they (elves) sell goods out of wood and calling them hypcrites despite wiki stating they can make wooden stuff without chopping down trees. also nobody made joke of them being the race that fully accepts cannibalism

I always piss them off and then proceed to beat them mercilessly. The detailed chat log makes it seem so much more violent than it actually is.

In dwarf fortress? I can't stand those tree worshiping, plant fondling, Spock impersonating, pointy-eared jerks. Sell them the bones of your enemies and they have no problem but give them something inside of a wooden bin and they flip out.

I always have problems locating magma in my games.
And it's true about the wooden items they bring. I really, really should draw a short comic about that...
Elf: What's this? Oh, no, no, no! Naughty dwarf! I don't like your brute behavior toward these poor trees! I can't bear to see anything made out of trees or tree-related materials!
Dwarf: Fine, fine. What do you have for trading?
Elf: Let's see... Wooden bins, wooden bolts, wooden cages, wooden mugs, wooden barrels, wooden--Hey, why are you looking at me that way?
