UGH... ok... I'm good...

This was nearly the end of me... this is the second request/challenge my friend Whispering-Fairy posed to me; a realism type drawing of a scene from The Last Of Us... honestly this was a part I wanted to do for a long time... It was so sad but so sweet and... my gosh... poor Ellie

I had quite a lot of fun with the lighting; but since the reference was pretty dark, I had issues making out some finer details... but overall, I am VERY happy with this!
So what's going on exactly?
Well, Ellie here goes through hell trying to keep a wounded Joel safe from a group of cannibals out for revenge... btw, Joel and Ellie fought back in self defense... those jerks fired at them first
Anyways, she outwits many, fights off even more, and just as she may get away, their leader, named David, who ALSO has the hots for her... 'cause... y'know... a cannibal wasn't bad enough; he also had to like 14 year old girls
Joel ends up recovering and trying to find/save Ellie.
Some crazy crap goes down and, bottom line, Ellie ends up killing David in the most brutal way possible... and being unable to stop. She just keeps going... like the guy was a monster who couldn't be killed enough.
Joel then pulls her away from David, all while she is freaking out, traumatized... Joel manages to calm her down and get her to look at him... he then comforts her; holds her in a way that only a loving parent would be able to do
I swear, every time Joel calls Ellie baby Girl, the nickname he gave his daughter... I loose it
He then offers some words of wisdom (that we don't hear, but I think we can make out the gist of it) and they leave... hoping to also leave the horrors Ellie witnessed behind...
