Description The Socctopus, cousin of the Football Squid, is famous for its excellent handling and lift. However, they tend to get emotional, and sit around looking dejected after the game, when nobody needs them anymore. Plus, it's tough getting kicked around for 90 minutes.

This is super-apropos right now, as his cousin Paul in Germany is predicting the outcomes of all the World Cup soccer matches!

can I ask why there's a flagpole instead of a goal?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegLyman In reply to NatureOrb [2008-03-05 18:45:52 +0000 UTC]

It's the corner flag. The goal would be off to the right.

But yeah, some people have asked why he's on a golf course. Lesson learned!

faraway-j In reply to MegLyman [2008-03-04 23:12:17 +0000 UTC]

that may have helped, it looks like golf-course grass, but you've managed without it ^^
now you've got more to consider for next time, always good!

Good thing his spots are already bruise-colored.

PanPanMomo In reply to MegLyman [2008-03-05 21:05:07 +0000 UTC]

But he will eventually not have spots, due to his white areas disappearing under his bruises. ;3;

Wow, this really reminds of my own sadly pathetic attempt to play soccer as a kid, I really did suck, always on the sidelines. Looking at this now makes me wanna adopt him make sure he never gets kicked around again. Lousy childhood memories. Still love it tho

DeckardCanine [2008-02-29 03:05:21 +0000 UTC]

They must be lonelier than other sports cephalopods. I've read that NFL games use about 24 balls each time, and pro baseball games use more than 100, but soccer games usually involve just one.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegLyman In reply to DeckardCanine [2008-03-04 14:24:26 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yeah! But there are usually a few on the sidelines - they keep company after the games.
