Description Try hard to bust through my massive 'sucking at coloring' thing. So I doodled this drell girl and wanted to try to color her in more of a painting ish style. She's very lightly toned, I know.. I'm still terrified of color x.x I dunno why. Baby steps I guess. Any help would be ah-mazeballs <3

Other than the fact that the sclera is supposed to be black on drell, it's a really good piece! Ah who am I kidding? It's art, I don't need to be nit pickin'!

yeah, I was practicing shading, would have been difficult to see that on a black sclera. And I figure that they're individuals, so there could be variations.

Really like this a lot.
Looks very feminine but also not too girly like.

I also envy your soft coloring.
As a tip. Maybe you yould play with light, it brings a lot of different emotions. As for now it looks very sterile. (But I still like it that way)

I looooove how lightly colored she is (even if it is because you're terrified of color <3), it's very feminine to me.

I don't know if this will help, but I'm completely, utterly terrible at coloring, so I'd grabbed a couple of coloring tutorials. This one here is a bit more involved and in depth. It's hard for me to read it (even zoomed in, the text is kinda small), so I haven't read the whole thing, but what I do read is pretty detailed and very helpful.

thanks. It's always been a huge obstacle for me x.x I just wanna be so much better than I am lol, ya know? Think I might need to pick up a book on color theory and lighting.
