Introducing our cross-dressing assassin-slash-Genei Ryodan member #4, who is usually mistaken as a girl, Kalluto Zoldyck, from Togashi Yoshihiro's Hunter x Hunter. ♥

First things first: No matter what Kalluto's appearance may be, he's definitely a 'he'. ^^

When Kalluto showed up, he looked so creepy and mysterious, staring at Kil with unknown intentions (jealousy?) when Kil went to go with Gon and co. He is mostly shown tagging along with his mother Kikyo, or Illu-nii. Later on in the series, he joined Genei Ryodan and became Hisoka's replacement, though it is unknown who exactly recruited him. I remember Kil mentioning that Silva told them to steer clear of Ryodan or something like that. I was kinda pissed though, when Hisoka viewed him as "delicious" within Machi's earshot (Greed Island Final). No wonder Machi doesn't take his advances seriously (Hisoka's such a player and a pedophile!). ><

I had a lot of fun drawing Kalluto. She's easy to draw, and I find her similarity to Tomoe Hotaru (Sailor Saturn from Takeuchi Naoko's Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon) amusing (Yes, I know Togashi-sensei patterned Kalluto after her). ^^

I started with the rough shapes first, then moved on to the face and hair. Afterwards, I've worked my way down to his elegant kimono. But then, my pace slowed down due to the kimono design (My reference photo is quite small and blurred, so I just drew some random design for her obi (sash). As for the maemigoro, I went by the original design though it's pretty hard cause it's an abstract one in my reference photo. ><

Anyway, I'm pretty glad of the outcome of this one. I might be drawing Kalluto-kun sometime again in the future. ^^
