My latest art starring the mysterious Kite of Togashi Yoshihiro's Hunter x Hunter. ♥Kite strongly reminds me of Togashi-sensei's YuYu Hakusho. Maybe because his style of drawing (of Kite) is pretty similar to YuYu's characters. I think Kite is a cool and interesting character, and I would've liked to see him again (the 1999 Hunter x Hunter didn't make it way past Greed Island). I was also amused when Mito saw Kite buying a bottle of wine, she blushed. It's cute! Could it be that she has a crush on Kite? Hee, hee! ^^
But then, since I didn't read the manga (I only read shoujo), I kind of spoiled myself unintentionally and found out that Kite actually met an untimely demise after the Greed Island arc. It's sooo sad. I wanted him and Mito to be together. Mito deserves a good man, doesn't she? She already got her heart broken by Ging (I know it's a different story in the manga and I'm just making up stories here so let me be). ^^
I know I'm getting lazy with each passing day (mostly because I think my drawings are getting worse), and I must admit that Kite is definitely the easiest one I've ever, ever worked on. He was very easy to draw (which equates to me having fun), and I only encountered minor problems like the shape of his cap (Now that I think about it, it's actually similar to my Kurapika: Undercover art (see: [link] ), and the length of his face (cause Togashi-sensei drew his face a bit too long so I hacked off some of his facial bones). Even the hand was easy, which I am most happy about (cause this is my main problem most of the time in every art). ^^
Again, I apologize for the crappy titles. I couldn't come up with a better word(s) to describe this one. ><

super agree with your statement about HxH 2011. maybe they want to make it for children because there aren't any sadistic scene on it (remember the part when Killua stole an assassin's heart in 3rd exam). HxH without violent, is a bit weird for me =,=
that cat-like creature is pitou, no doubt about it. that arc is the most sadistic and thrilling in HxH, ever (not only Kite, Pockle, Ponzu, and the chairman Netero were died too). you should read the manga :3

I still think they should've just continued with the 1999 anime than made a total remake (mainly cause I'm not very pleased with the new Hunter x Hunter drawing style - the characters look way younger and a bit unattractive). ><
I was really shocked when I saw a scan from the manga depicting a cat-like creature holding Kite's severed head! That's when I went over to wikia and found out that Kite really was killed. T_T

I'm concerned that they'll mess up the beautiful and handsome faces of the Genei Ryodan members. I don't want Kuroro to look like a kid. ><
Actually, I haven't watched the remake yet (I'm still considering if I should, or maybe I'll just skip to the Chimera Ants if they ever got past Greed Island). So far, I've only seen snippets (rather, screen caps) of the new Hunter and I am not impressed. I definitely love the old one a LOT LOT LOT more (though I must admit the old Hunter drawing has a LOT of inconsistencies. Like Kurapika's face changes all throughout - sometimes he looks like an adult, sometimes like a child). I think the old Hunter art suits the atmosphere of the story better, and not to mention, it's more eye-catching. I was appalled when I saw their version of Menchi (the sexy Gourmet hunter). The old one definitely looks a lot better! ><
I also think that doing a total remake of Hunter is a waste of time and resources. Anyway, hopefully Togashi-sensei won't be undergoing more hiatuses and finally give the story a conclusion. I badly want to see Gon finally reunited with his father. ><

of course = w = I don't want too, really. knowing those facts I could only tell the manga is my choice now. well, in case Ging is really NEXT to Gon right now, but unfortunately~ Gon is in coma state or such. Ging himself is being busy and decide to not seeing his son. argh = A = if it's Kaito maybe he will get more worried than anyone else

Wow! Thanks for updating me bout the manga's latest plot. But I think I'll pass up on the manga for now. For some reason, I like the 1999 anime art better than the manga itself (Gomen ne, Togashi-sensei~). And I badly miss Kurapika (I hate it that he's hardly shown in the manga either from Chimera Ants arc onwards). I wonder what he's been up to. ><
By the way, what happened to Gon? O_o

yeah, me too. maybe Kurapika just being busy with his work as a bodyguard. knowing that Neon's ability had stolen, he might planned something forward.
Gon, he defeated Pitou (chimera that killed Kite/Kaito) with all his might. he went over his power and grown up to an age where he could defeat Pitou (like biscuit). even with that, Pitou headless body could still move and cut down Gon's left hand. he was overworked, then took his final jajanken that destroyed a forest. Killua who witnessed all of that got terrified. it was a chaos. "his lost was too great" the last page said.
so he ended up in hospital, with doctors and nen removers gave up on him. only Alluka can save Gon, and that's why Killua try so hard to protect Alluka which is currently aimed by Illumi. *(Alluka's ability is very dangerous. it's a possibility that all of the Zaoldyecks will die if Alluka grants Killua's wish for saving Gon. Illumi want to stop that and he intended to kill Alluka)
AND NOW, the series is about Killua vs Illumi...

Seems like a LOT has happened ever since. I have a feeling Kurapika might've lost his job already as Neon's bodyguard since Light Nostrade's got no more source of income and since Neon's ability has already been stolen by Kuroro (Light was paranoid about her ability but now it's gone, so...). He might be working for other rich Mafia family who are interested in the Scarlet Eyes of his tribe.
I'm mostly afraid for Kurapika (He's my bias). Togashi-sensei didn't say anything about the GI nen exorcist (whether he was able to free Kuroro - and that would definitely be a HUGE disadvantage to Kurapika cause the Ryodan will definitely hunt him down once it has been removed). I don't want my baby to get hurt. ><
Wow. Killua VS Illumi. Now I definitely have to know what happens next... especially since Illumi has always been overprotective of Kil.
