Another meme! HOORAY!!I was hesitant t do this because I mean... who likes to look at their own old art and remember how horrible they were, right? But not so bad! I think I had fun doing it!

You're right about one thing---animation school kills the drive you need to improve. If you hadn't changed majors you probably wouldn't have discovered the neat things you could (accidentally!) with 'shop.

Same here actually.
I was in graphic design before I got burned out, so I swicthed to meteorology, and did some accidental things in photoshop that I couldn't otherwise have found out in my other major. XD

I was in animation school for a year and it sucked all my love for drawing and creativity right out of me. I switched my majors around a lot but now I've settled with Japanese linguistics and I'm LOVING IT <333

You're exactly right! I love WoW but it's such a time sink.... I've had to SET ASIDE TIME to do art just so I don't get sucked into Azeroth every waking moment of my freetime.
Music, on the other hand is still my biggest inspiration in life (besides the wonderful people in my life that is... lol).

I had the exact same problem, but not just with WoW (well... mostly with it) but also with all other games

MCR = My Chemical Romance. Whiney emo band from New Jersey. Their third album was called The Black Parade and had this... Sargent Pepper's Lonley Hearts from Tim Burton hell theme to it. Awesome album. My favourite of their three. Got me through a lot back then. YouTube the video for Welcome to the Black Parade. Even if you don't like the song, the video is really cinematic and pretty. And if you DO like the song... it will get into your veins and never come out.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THIIIIINK~~ They themselves INSIST they're not emo and ot an extent their not, because their songs deal with pain. But the center of their music is the theme of strength, not pain. Strength to get through the pain and keep on living.
... and I'm gonna stop right now before I go on a ramble. Yeah...

I KNOW THIS SONG!! I LIKE THIS SONG!! xDD It's one of ~aidenbaihu 's favorites, and he gave it to me on a CD (thatIlost)! It's the only of of theirs that I've heard that I know of, but it often happens that I've heard many songs by different bands and I just didn't know it was them. 
It does have a nice theme of moving beyond the pain and living despite it all, but their specific style of music and performance does, unfortunately, classify them as emo. xD So they are emo by technicality.
