Description
Most people have struggled with identity, whether its where we belong or who we are.
I have had the same struggle, I am half Japanese and Australian and isn't sure where I belong or which country I should stay in after school. Even my physical features are a part of the struggle, I may live in Australia but look Asian or visit Japan and look Australian. People see the differences but not the similarities.
I must admit I've had the chance to see the best of both countries but identity and belonging is a difficulty I face and many others share.

This painting is a representation of that, the turmoil behind the eyes or expression and the mix of colour (country/culture or personality) that makes up someone's identity.
