Hahaha.. this "sketch" which I wanted to do quickly took me about 2 hours.. @___@
(Most of it being stuck on Heimdl though URGH WHY I DRAW HIM MOST OFTEN!!)

So I was thinking about Frozen and how the focus on the relationship and building it again was so lacking between the sisters, and then I started thinking about Disney movies in general, and then I saw some gif for Road to El Derado and I was just like "THAT'S IT!! THAT'S WHAT'S MISSING IN MY LIFE!! A MOVIE ABOUT CLOSE FEMALE FRIENDS OR SIBLINGS SUPPORTING EACH OTHER ON AN ADVENTURE AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP AS THE MAIN FOCUS!!"
Not a girl becoming a "sidekick" to the other. Not a competition between them for someone's heart or moral superiority or a duel between the two. Just good ol' collaboration and support and beating the odds TOGETHER.

Anyway, so that was my main wandering line of thought until I just started doodling siblings. They being Katedra and Florencia, who adopted one another as sisters (one's human, one's fae), and Heimdl and Zehn'l (one's uhm.. "human", one's half-elven), who share genetic code as brothers. The image was originally just Kat and Cia, but Heimdl and Zehn'l were added as mirrors because Kat and Cia are actually based on Heimdl and Zehn'l. (Kat and Cia are actually "role-playing characters" of Heimdl and Zehn'l respectively lol)

Kat may be too much like Heimdl personality-wise (but oddly harsher? lol) because Heimdl isn't great creating non self-insert characters lol and she's super protective of Cia because Zehn'l made Cia super pure-hearted and sweet and kind of weak because maybe he likes cute shoujo moe girls xD . Kat and Cia are very close, having gone through the best and worst together. They trust one another with their lives and wouldn't think twice of risking themselves for one another. Luckily, they always manage to pull through and survive all their misadventures together, only strengthening their bond~!

Heimdl may be more of an anti-hero type, and makes a kind of annoying friend, dismissive lover, or just huge pain in the butt for everyone else, but to Zehn'l, he's actually a really great elder brother??? Zenny's just overall shonen hero material and kind of really cute and good-natured, making it hard to believe that he could be Heimdl's brother, especially since you rarely see them together or talk about one another to anyone. When you do see them together though, it's really obvious there is just all this love and mutual respect and it's so sweet because Heimdl is usually such a huge dick and you're just like aaaaah Heimdl is tsunDERE afteraaaaallll. q_q maybe that's why he rarely lets anyone know about his brother lol
