I can't be sure, but that looks like some kind of Massasauga Rattlesnake- don't take MY word for it, though.

XDD I have no idea which type of Mass., though. I see Diamondbacks all over where I live, and their faces are more elongated, and their eyes usually have a single dark stripe over each flanked by two white stripes. They're also dustier colored. And BIG. D:

Mm. I had the chance to buy one of these beauties, but didn't for the very reason that I live close to Texas where they thrive-- from time to time in the summer, we see one or two here and there. Would HATE to be bit (but they fascinate me!)
