Haha, definitely! I think the budgie is the second smallest parrot next to the parrotlet.

I've always wanted a red macaw <3
I'd name it Dexter, like Dexter's laboratory <3

That's a cute name, maybe if you get one someday, you can also teach it to talk like Dexter, with that weird accent

Better make sure you have lots of space, time, and money first though Green-winged macaws (the red one in the pic) are the second largest macaw, and they require lots of attention and go through lots of toys.

Haha Do you have any pets?
Parrots are a big commitment. Sadly, I believe these are both rescued birds from homes that didn't do their research before getting pet parrots and weren't able to care for the birds properly. I remember Benito was stuffed into a tiny dirty cage when they found him...

Oh no... poor little Benito.. well, I am happy for him as now he has a better home. I have a cat, and I had budgies for long years but they passed.. getting a parrot is my dream, but I don't have one since I can't afford it yet. Macaws are really wonderful, but I would settle with a smaller one as we live in an apartment and that's not enough room for a macaw I believe. I'd never stuff them into small cages... it's better not to have any parrot at all than to see them suffer I could get a Poicephalus parrot, they are smaller yet smart and lovely. I understand they require a lot of care and they need things to keep them busy when the owner isn't at home. Actually one of the reasons I can't have one right now is the expensive cages; when I want to get a good one that's also big enough (the bigger, the better of course!) it's a lot of money.. I guess you have parrots..? What kind?

I have a dog, two turtles, an African Grey, and a budgie Unfortunately, the first three animals in the list are pets that my mom bought without thinking about the consequences. I've tried my best to set up a good care system for them all in our house, but I can only do so much from afar (I live very far away due to school). My mom is too scared of the parrot to let him out of his cage! I plan to "rescue" the Grey and the turtles once I graduate. Their living conditions are not terrible because my mom has a housekeeper clean their tank/cage, but they get no attention or play time, which I feel bad about.

The budgie, however, is my boyfriend's and my pet, and he at least gets lots of love
