As Crissy watched the other performances, her mind kept straying back to what she and Peridot were planning to do. They’d practiced and practiced, and practiced, but still… At the speed in which they would be going, and with the lack of lighting too… It would be an understatement to call their plan dangerous. All the research said that Avenir favored risky stunts, and those who performed with their pokemon. And Crissy planned on dazzling the blond.
Even so, if anything went wrong, if either of them made one wrong move, broken limbs would be the least of their worries.
"Are you ready?" Crissy stroked her hand down Peridot's strong neck, the flames tickling against her skin. She trusted the Rapidash with her life, and he’d never let her down before.
Peridot whickered and nudged his trainer with his nose, making her laugh. Everything would be fine. Their performance would be perfect.
"I'll take that as a yes!" she giggled, planting a kiss on his nose.
Peridot whickered a laugh in response, stamping his hoofs.

The previous performance ended, and as they wlaked off the stage the lights suddenly went out, plunging the area into darkness.
"That's our cue." Crissy murmured, and the two of the walked in unison onto the stage. Luckily for Crissy’s state of mind, the stage was big even for Periodt to run freely. They began to run when the music started, and when she felt the momentum was right, Crissy grasped Peridot’s collar and launched herself up onto his back. Once the Rapidash felt that that she was settled, his movements sped up, the Agility allowing him to reach even greater speeds. The duo was close to being a blur of speed when Crissy began her routine.
Crissy moved so that she was kneeling on Peridot’s back, her arms extended for balance. Crissy closed her eyes and stood up and the lights came on, highlighting her and Periot. The black haired girl opened her eyes and grinned at the marveling crowd. She winked, and bent over backwards, her palms resting on Peridot’s back. A push of her legs sent Crissy’s body vertical. The crowd ooh’d and ahh’d as Crissy continued her acrobatic performance. Peridot performed a few stunts of his own, until finally…
Peridot reared, fire swirling around his body as he used Will-o-wisp, and Crissy tumbled off his back, landing in a controlled ball before springing to her feet with a grin. Peridot turned around while still rearing until he was parallel with his trainer. As one, they bowed.
