Please Full View.It's strange to think that at such a young age these boys and girls have seen such morbid things.
Thats what I wanted to get at with this picture, the fact that Kimimaro's hands had already been so stained by blood. He is trying his hardest to clean off the blood, his past. The blood isn't just blood, it symbolizes something much greater, I will let you guys figure that out.
Could you imagin living in a time like that??
Kimimaro's past was so sad! Usually when Kishimoto tells such a sad past he makes their end more positive. Like Haku and Zabuza's. But not for Kimimaro I guess, poor guy!
Kimimaro will always remain one of my favorites, then again he is from sound. I'm so obsessed with all the sound nins, they rock!!! DIE KONOHA! MWHHAHA.
This picture was just something I whipped up to get the idea out of my head. I ain't proud of teh coloring. It was really difficult to do cuz my tablet kept dying every 2 mins. But I managed to fix it.
I apoligize for the lack of submissions, I actually have alot of linearts done...but coloring them is taking forever!! lol. I'm still learning new things wih Painter, trying to get what I want out of all the programs. I also got Open Canvas! YAY yet another program to get used to though lol.

I love the coloring. I think it looks cool, and I like how you used symbolism with the blood. That's deep.
Kimimaro is my favorite character and his death was sad. He got to meet Naruto, but he did not get to have a life changing conversation with him like, well pretty much everyone else does.

I agreee this boy story was the saddest story in the show even sadder then Naruto back story Poor Kimimaro why couldn't he ahve lived why couldn't things look up for him and end well for the boy like if I were Zabuza I would have Convince Kimimaro to stop being a savage with his people and drop that Bone Knife in his hand come with me and teach him how to be a propper Ninja and after he would drop the bone dagger I would scoop the boy of his feet and into my arms and carry him away far away from all that sinceless Violenc why ddin't? if it was Kakasiki himself he ran into Kakaski would have difeantly help the boy get to a better life.

I like the form, the fact you put him in a kneeling position adds to the affect that he's still just a child in an unfair and corrupt world. Though, maybe if he was in a more crouched position it would make the message a little more clear. You know, add to the effect of being used.
I also like the detail, nothing to complain about there.
Only thing I think you need to work on is making the lines darker, maybe some shading to put the feeling of hopelessness? Just a thought.

Anywho, do you know where I can get like, a good drawing/canvas program? All I can do for now is like, draw by hand. (It's actually not that bad, but I need to conquer my fear of computer art. You might like my gallery.

A lot of people that would rather not buy/hack photoshop generally use Paint tool Sai [link] I hope this is the right site. You just download and use. You could always look up Oekaki boards, I started with those as well. All free and fairly easy to use once you understand layers. Good luck!

Well made--very well made. It's true, too. They're what, twelve, when they first start missions (assuming they're average, some of them start even younger)? It's a wonder that they all haven't completely lost it! Either way, it's a very nice picture, with a lot of detail. Good work!
P.S.: too bad that we can't jump in the anime, those characters could do with the boundless adoration of a couple hundred fans telling them how amazing they are.

Kimimaro by far is one of my favorite characters in 'Naruto'. He has such a sad story, that you can't help but ti love him, I think.

I have been wondering about this too. Many were so young and yet this lifestyle was so normal to so many.
The contrast is really powerful here. His pale features against the blood that looks like corruption that has already seeped too deep into his skin to be washed away by water anymore. His sad and desperate face is effective too.

Very nice, simple colors, pastel kind of wash. What's more important is the story you're telling in the picture, and the emotion in his face matches your idea clearly. Those hands... he looks at them, and they are monstrous. It isn't just the blood on them, it is visible in their shape. That coloration and form is the kind of way that demon hands and bodies are drawn.
It's how he sees himself. He is still pure, but this killing power in his hands is terrible. If only he could wash the blood off then it wouldn't haunt him so, save he will never be able to.
*chuckles* Now, all this, and I know next to nothing about the character or series or original artist. I don't know if that above was what you were really going for or not, but it's a good picture. And if you were going for it, the above ought to tell you that you nailed it perfectly.

Aw, that's just so sad. ;-; I love how you captured the scene of him dealing with all that blood shed. The poor thing deserved a better end. Oh and I do like the coloring, too. It's a nice contrast between the soft pastels and the blood right in the center of the picture. Good job~ ^^

Yeah, I agree..Kimimaro is the very picture of tragedy. When he was first introduced I did not like him, but I warmed up to him based on his experiences and how he was treated...it was interesting. Even through all those awful things he had to go through, his hope was strong enough for him to hold onto and die for. Or maybe there just wasn't any other option. Either way, it's extremely sad. Beautiful job on this..the colors are amazing, to say the least. I love how you've done the blood, his expression, and his hair. The detail on that bucket and the water is simply stunning. The only critique I can give this is to have his eyes fit better onto his face...they don't seem to sink in quite enough, they float a bit more than is natural. The anatomy, pose, everything else is just amazing.

Only proble i would see in this are that his hands seem just a little too big, and that the folds on the rob seem a bit much...but don't get me wrong i love this!!! Woooow...the way you coloured the water shall amaze me for days!!! XD
