Her family consisted of a single mother and two sisters but, they were a power driven family that preyed on the humans. When Aza's mother was killed by the Romanian empire her and her sisters spread out and wreaked havoc on each major empire. For years Azanette tormented innocent lives until she was confronted by a brave knight. Captivated by his bravery she had decided to cease her torment and live among the humans in order to gain the knight's favor. Azanette kept her dragon form a secret and pursued the knight with great effort. The two had entered into a passionate relationship until the knight had left her to marry the Romanian princess.
Consumed by rage she had revealed her dragon form and ate the princess out of revenge. After she had committed her crime the knight had managed to entrap her in an underwater prison using an ancient spell. For 300 years she slept in her cage until a young water dragon released her from the spell.

Azanette left the black sea and went into hiding among the humans for thousands of years knowing that she owed the water dragon a favor.
