Uggh, I hate Sherlock, but this is pretty legit. I love the wings!

Thank you! Haha, you hate it? xD I actually haven't seen it yet, though I've been meaning to. All my friends bugged me to watch it 800 years ago when it came out, but I see that it's on Netflix now, so maybe I can commit to watching all six episodes since it's sitting readily available right in front of my stupid face.

Yeah, I just find it so boring, and the fandom makes me wanna jump out the window. I think the actors do a good job, though. I'm just a fan of the original Sherlock Holmes. I hate modern remakes. ._. With a passion. That burns with the heat of a thousand suns. If it wasn't modern, I'd probably be totally into that show.
BUT IT ISN'T SO NOPE

Yeah, that certainly sounds fair. xD I was skeptical when I heard it the setting had changed as well. I hate it to death when people feel the need to do contemporary adaptations of perfectly good period pieces too. There is more than enough modern media. Leave the historical stuff alone. That reminds me of when I saw the live theater stream of the Met production of one of the Faust operas last year and the director explained in an interview before it started that he had updated the setting to WWII era, so Faust was now a nuclear physicist who had helped to create the atomic bomb. :l Which is... y'know... a great way to just suck ALL THE FUCKING FUN OUT OF IT! DUDE I think I saw one on TV. I was like "What the hell? Faust isn't a nuclear physicist." XD

Ha! You saw it too? xD It was streamed at a movie theater in my area. I really liked the actors playing Faust and Meph and all that, but the setting was just such a letdown. The director even said something like, "who really wants to see all those tights and feathered hats?" I FUCKING DID! D:<

Ew. Ew. Ew. I would love some tights and feathered hats. That should be the standard.
One of these days, we will direct our own "Faust," with plenty of tights and feathered hats.

Indeed. It will take 30 minutes for the actors to change costumes between scenes, but it will be fabulous, goddamn it.
