I really like this photo. Something about it draws me in.
The water looks peaceful, and the ripple pattern makes it seem as though something was just moving through the water. Though normally i like color photography, the gray-scale seems to fit this better. The long line of trees and twigs scattered about give it the abandon island feel; like you're lost at sea and happened upon this island. The lighting is wonderful (and correct me if im wrong, but is all natural? No flash?) Even the big branch in the middle has something about it that makes the picture feel complete.
