Romatzo was waiting his friends outside the Fortress. A coach, sent by Omdeo, was waiting not far away, ready to conduct him and his friends at the evening in honour of the elf queen Annju, in another building. The Fortress being built at the origin for military purposes, had no luxury place to organise these kind of events.
Romatzo was waiting for a certain time now. He was not complaining tough. It was a warm summer night and the evening sky was beautiful. He thought it was funny, that no matter of which race you were, women seemed to always take longer to dress up than men.

Finally he heard his three friends who arrived. He turned in their direction and for moment he was amazed. Romatzo was a simple dwarf. If he knew that his companions of road were women, they were his companions of adventure first and nothing more. But seeing them with beautiful and delicate dresses and hairdressing made him realised how beautiful they were.
The charm could have left longer if Marina, who were wearing high heels for the first time, did not almost fell to the floor, letting go a loud "Damn it !".
She could actually barely walk with these very high heels, but when they were presented to her, in her room, she had been completely fascinated by them. At her first try, even if she was not really able to stay straight, she thought she would get use to them quickly. But she was wrong and because of her stubborn mind she refused to take another pair of shoes. Now, after almost falling several time, it had became a question of honor.

Here is how her mind worked :

" I am a powerful Våpenkvinne from Hvittland. I have fought many powerful enemies. Hell, I have even vanquished demons ! I won't let some puny shoes vanquish me !"

Mivalva was wearing high heels for the first time too, but they were less high and her wood elf natural grace and agility made her walk very easily with them. The elven woman was first to arrive next to Romatzo, Delphine being occupied helping Marina to walk.

" You look very handsome." she said, with a beautiful smile.

He did not know why, but he felt he blushed a little.

" Thanks! You too."

Delphine and Marina finally joined them soon after. They all exchanged some compliments on how they looked, then they left for the reception.

Romatzo attendait ses amies à l'extérieur de la Forteresse. Un carrosse, envoyé par Omdéo, attendait pas loin, pour les conduire dans un autre bâtiment, lui et ses amies, à la soirée en l'honneur de la reine elfe Annju. La Forteresse ayant été construite à l'origine à des fins militaire, n'avait pas de lieux luxueux pour organiser ce genre d'événement.
Romatzo attendait depuis un certain temps déjà. Cependant, il ne se plaignait pas. C'était une chaude soirée d'été et le ciel étoilé était magnifique. Il pensa que c'était drôle que, peut importe la race dont vous étiez issu, les femmes semblaient toujours prendre plus longtemps pour s'habiller que les hommes.

Enfin, il entendit ses trois amies arriver. Il se tourna dans leur direction et pendant un moment il fut ébloui. Romatzo était un nain simple. S'il savait pertinemment que ces compagnons de route était des femmes, elles étaient d'abord ses compagnons et rien de plus. Mais de les voir dans ces robes raffinées et avec ces coiffures délicates lui firent réaliser combien elles étaient belles.
Le charme aurait pu durer plus longtemps si Marina, qui portait des hauts talons pour la première fois, n'avait pas failli tomber par terre et laisser échapper un sonore "Fait chier !".
Elle pouvait en fait à peine marcher avec ces très hauts talons, mais lorsqu'ils lui furent présentés, dans sa chambre, elle avait été complètement fascinée par eux. Lors de son premier essai, même si elle ne pouvait pas vraiment tenir debout, elle avait pensé qu'elle s'habituerait rapidement. Mais elle avait eu tort et à cause de son esprit obstiné elle refusa de prendre une autre paire de chaussure. Maintenant, après avoir failli tomber plusieurs fois, c'était devenu une question d'honneur.

Voilà à quoi ressemblait son état d'esprit:

" Je suis une puissante Våpenkvinne du Hvittland. J'ai combattu de nombreux puissants ennemies. Putain, j'ai même vaincu des démons ! Je ne vais pas laisser de misérables chaussures me vaincre !"

Minalva portait aussi des hauts talons pour la première fois, mais ils étaient moins hauts et sa grâce et agilité naturelle d'elfe des bois firent qu'elle marchait aisément avec. La jeune femme elfe fut la première à arriver près de Romatzo, Delphine étant occupée à aider Marina à marcher.

" Tu es très beau." dit-elle, avec un beau sourire.

Il ne sut pas trop pourquoi, mais il sentit qu'il rougissait un peu.

" Merci ! Tu es très belle, toi aussi."

Delphine et Marina les rejoignirent finalement peu après. Ils échangèrent tous des compliments sur leur apparence, puis ils partirent pour la réception.
