Sigrid had finally reach her destination.
After months of travel and research and hundreds of kilometres walked, she arrived at the Guild of Adventurers.
Nobody told her that the person she was looking for was there, but even if she could not explain why, she knew at the moment she entered the city, that this person was there and she was very eager to meet her.

Sigrid avait enfin atteint sa destination.

Après des mois de voyages et de recherches et des centaines de kilomètres parcourus, elle était arrivée à la Guilde des Aventuriers.
Personne ne lui avait dit que la personne qu'elle recherchait été là, mais, même si elle ne pouvait expliquer pourquoi, elle sut au moment ou elle entra dans ville, que cette personne était là et et elle était très impatiente de la rencontrer.

Sorry about that, but I'll be in Japan for almost the whole month of December and the beginning of January too and I wouldn't be able to create pictures.
I know I leave in a month and would have time to create new storyline scenes, but because I reached the end of the first part, I think it's a good moment to stop.
I'll probably create more pictures in November but it will be random ones.

About the making of this picture, I couldn't use the sky from the HDRI I used, because it wasn't fitting.
So I put a plan in the background, with a flat greyish colour. Then I've added the clouds in post-prod.
The flat colour of the plan made it simple to extract it from the rest.

I've used the same technique in this picture: The Training - Romatzo

The result might be better in this last one because there was a Depth of Field. Having the clouds blurry, helped them to blend in with the rest of the picture better.

I say that, but I think it looks pretty good here too. ^^

La contre-plongée c'est parce que je voulais qu'on ressente la présence massive des fortifications.

C'est déjà ce que j'avais voulu faire,sans trop de succès je dois dire, avec cette image, The Guild .

Là, je pense que j'ai mieux réussi. J'ai plus d'expérience et aussi je n'avais qu'un personnage à faire rentrer dans le cadre.


Sigrid n'est pas rentrée chez elle. Elle en est même très loin, un bon millier de kilomètre au moins.

Mais là, en atteignant la Guilde, elle arrive à l'endroit ou se trouve la personne qu'elle recherche.

"This scene kind of contrasts with the previous one with Marina and Delphine. Gray and cold."

"Gray and cold." is the weather you have in the previous one too, but where are placed Marina and Delphine you can't see it.

In my mind, the 2 pictures happen the same day (I forgot to talked about it in the description). Maybe this one is a little later, after the rain stopped.


"I'm curious to know who is the person she is looking for. I think I'll have to be curious until you get back from Japan."

I am struggling a little with myself, about continuing the story despite what I've said, because I'm on a good run.

But I also think it's also better to stop on a suspenseful note and while the story has not fully began...

I'm sure it will be.

My brother is living there and I go to help him to film a movie, he is a professional filmmaker (and photographer).

I'm also happy to the idea to make Christmas and the new year's eve with him.

The gate wall come from the old "Castle Creator" by Faveral, but the Fortress in the back was made by me. I took the same texture for consistency.

I created it one year ago and I want to improve the model more, but I didn't took the time to do it yet.

I want to improve the model of the Fortress, but I didn't took the time yet.

I would like to do a shot of the whole city, but it's suppose to be huge and I don't know where to start.

Donner un côté cinématographique, c'est ce que j'essaye de faire depuis le début, avec plus ou moins de succès.

Mais là, en toute modestie, je pense que je me suis dépassé sur les dernières images.

Maintenant, il faut que j'arrive à conserver au moins cette qualité sur le long terme.


Pour le Japon, ça devrait être sympa.

Je vais pouvoir passer les fêtes de fin d'année avec mon frère qui habite là-bas.

You can also put some animals in interior.
Like in this picture, The Gang , where I've puted rats.

Interesting. I am still using the Castle Creator too but i am always interested in good castles with good pose/scene-Presets.

Often i miss the "special thing" in the castles or they are in low quality only.

For example we need a good and new and flexible torture chamber.

It is not neccessary that this would be a whole coherent complex.

All in Low-Poly too.

Are you working in Hexagon or ZBrush?

I'm using Zbrush when I do some sculpt on characters, but for modeling, I'm using 3ds Max.

I'm curious about how Hexagon works, so I might install it one of these days.


If you have the patience to built and texture it, I think this free model "Darkest Dungeon - Sinister Structures - 100% FREE " by SquarePeg3d, could be use to do a good torture chamber.

I haven't tested it in a real scene yet, but I think the models looks great.

thanks. I have already downloaded this, but i know that there is no texture added.

Maybe i can add some wall-shaders or free textures but it is nearly at the end of my to-do-list 

but it is always difficult to get a good texture for this that is different too (not the same on all parts).

This chamber looks good in the preview but when you have loaded it, you see that there is a lot to do from hand.

But as a base-chamber where you can fill with some (torture-) props and other things it may work.
