I really love the way the colors meld and splash across the piece! And her gaze is so mesmerizing, too! I am reminded of a dragon when I see the warm billowing reds and yellows of her hair. Great job!

I've never tried ink for painting but it's on my to do list.
I think i have some colored inks somewhere, i just need to find them ^^
Ochre is a great color because it's much more subtle than yellow.

i cant seem to find any trace of paintbrush in your paintings.. is it because you re using your colours with too much water or do you use some thing else to make this paintings? I love the way your colours mix and unite to make this painting, but i cant figure out how you do it and i would love to know! Great work!

THX!
For the first layer i'm adding colors with a lot of water to get smooth transitions.
After that when paper is dry again i'm doing several layers shadows etc.
It's tricky with watercolors to get smooth transitions when adding layers.
What i'm doing is to add color and then remove/fade it while it's still wet with a towell or some paper.
It doesn't work with every watercolor paper though. And you need to be careful not to remove the layers underneath.
regards,
max

This is a beautifully composed and coloured piece. I simply love the colours and they drew my attention as far as your work is concerned. I was browsing DA to find something, with an energetic impact of colours and I succeeded, as I am here right now. The way they interpenetrate and cooperate with the sharp pencil contoures is just what wanted to see this morning.Ā Not only the colours however are the aspect I like about your image. I also have a huge admiration for the whole dynamics of this beautiful , expressive composition.

It looks out of control and well organized at the same time and the colours are beautiful. I especially love the proportionality and the emotion in the features. They look so real!
