People who say this quote is bad because the moon is closer than the stars have it wrong.
Think of it like this - You're in a cannon aimed at the mood and are shot out, but you miss the moon, and end up flying past it towards the stars.

I've always found this quote really odd.
the moon is much, much closer than any star. The nearest star is 4.2 light years away. Whereas the moon's only 384,000 km.
I feel like it should be backwards.
