Description
Part one of a three part commission for Jess, who is putting my kids through college.This is a band her and her friends put together with their characters called 'Twas Brillig. Left to right there's Astrid, Natalie, Eleanor and at the bottom Rupert. I'd have to say this band of characters (pardon the pun) has to be the most unique I've ever drawn... yes, and that sentence was hard to type. I'm sure you get what I mean. Anyways, they all get an A+ for their character designs (and species). For more info you can check their DA galleries.

Yes, there are a few (hopefully forgivable) mistakes, such as Rupert's wings being reversed... I think. The smaller wings were supposed to be at the back, same for the black and white feathers on his back. Yeah I'll have to check that out. And I'm unsure what color Natalieβs eyes were supposed to be, so I just made them a kind of green-gray. *Shrug*

What a total treat. I really admire your art and Jess was all "OMG SURPRISE" and I was all "HOT DANG, I AM INDEED SURPRISED."
Rupert (the others are all rad- especially Eleanor! But I'm gonna play favourites here) is SO NEAT. So much so that you've inspired me to start drawing him again. Errors on his wings are A OKAY when faced with the rad that is he- and I love the peppers on his bass strap. It's like love itself.

I didn't notice this before, but Rupert's bass strap has CHILI PEPPERS ON IT. AHAHAHA SO FUCKING COOL.
OH MAN THIS IS SO AWESOME. I LOVE Astrid's dreads, and I LOVE their colours and I ADORE Natalie!! SHE'S SO CUTE. AWWWWWW SUCH HEARTAGE FOR HER. SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS DRAWING. 'Twas Brillig is so freakin' neat. I DIG 'EM.

Also, man, you've got to teach me how to colour like you. >.o; Your colouring looks so smooth and natural and aaaaugh it's so yummy. SUCH LOVE.

Oh hahah. Whatever. This is fantabulous to the nth degree. The color is awesome and yes, I do agree with you, the character designs are just spectacular. I especially love Eleanor; her design is just 'gasmic, and the coloring on her is my favourite. She has so much dimension and shine. This is such an awesome drawing. Thumbsupyall.
And I think it just made the experience 1000000000000x greater because William Shatner's "Common People" was playing at the same time. XD That song is AWESOME. Okay, I'm done. :B

Holy carp! This is totally awesome! Jess was all "CHECK THIS OUT" and I was all "WOAH AWESOME."
The coloring is fantastic, and the composition is fun, too! I'm sure drawing our ragtag group of characters presented many challenges (Heck I still have to look at previous drawings to get all their details right) and you did a fantastic job.

All the detail in this picture is devinely done 
I love all the characters, very unique and awesome colours, and the colour of Astrid was what I wanted for Nevina (but couldn't get the colour like that..!), ah well, maybe one day you can show me how you got that colour.
Anyways I must say Lisa that this is a freaking awesome picture!!!! Everything from the detail of their clothes, to the killer awesome..AWERSOME guitars!..The colours are all so vibrant and make me feel happy
