Alright..........Not sure if I'm in love with how this ended up, but I wanted to do something with a nice fully colored backdrop and....here's a backdrop.
I started this a few days ago, and couldn't draw legs. Couldn't draw them for the life of me, and so she transformed into a genie. Then, I couldn't figure out which hair to use, so a friend of mine suggested a scarf around her head and I agreed and it turned out really cool. Then came the coloring. Ah, the coloring.
I definitely tried. I tried really hard to make this look nice and smoky and mystical but I'm not entirely sure it looks like that. I tried to make the background colors look a bit better by putting in the patterns, which are inspired by henna tattoos.
I really like how her face and her hands turned out. I didn't have to really erase anything on either of those areas so that's something I love about this, at least. And also the lamp. I thought the lamp looked decent.

She was a lot of fun to color and I want to do something like this again, just on a slightly smaller scale. My poor blue and purple suffered for the background.
