Task four for OC-training - Wish.

Ever since Nao had been killed a few days ago, the 'castle' felt quite empty. Falco had his other subordinates but they were not important. No one was important as Nao had been. She understood him and his reasons. She was faithful, always willing to help him out.

Nao was unique. None of his other subordinates were as obedient and charming as Nao was. They were boring and miserable. Falco wasn't sure why he still kept them around, they weren't of any use any more.

He thought back to when he first met the creation he had ordered to be made. He wasn't sure what to expect, there were no rules to what Yuna had to make. Falco was pleased with the result he got. He wanted the girl to be someone who would talk with honesty and sincerity, therefore her gave her the name, “Nao”. She smiled when she first heard her name, it suited her.

Holding a rare orange rose in his hand, he stared once again out of the large window he had witnessed Nao's death through. He was sure that her body was somewhere he'd never find. Falco wanted her to be here with him but it wasn't possible any more.

A single tear splashed onto the rose's petals. The King's bright green eyes looked almost dull and lonely. Falco was beginning to realise that he didn't just think of Nao as his most faithful subordinate, he loved her. He began to wonder if she had loved him back. It seemed silly; a human in love with a cyborg. In his mind though, it seemed right. However, it was too late.

“Love is a cruel thing.” The blackbird smiled as he ripped the orange rose's petals from the stem and tossed them to the floor.

What would you expect someone who theorectically has it all to wish for?

Falco's is nothing more than he wishes Nao was still alive. Nao has been by his side since she was created, a few months into the final building of Katropolis. This was between Chizuko's creation (She was awakened for the first time on March 15th, and by Saki's account, the rest including herself, a day later) and Kotori's (She was awakened around September. The cyborgs were created in 'batches' starting with Area 5 and working onto the rest of the Area's).

Falco plucked Yuna Takeuchi out of the team of scientists working on the Cyborg Enforcement into Law Project (not sure about this name) and forced her into creating him a cyborg that could stand by his side, whilst also enforcing the law onto those within it (all cyborgs in Katropolis).

By forced, I mean, threatened with death if she refused.

Thus, Nao comes into the world.

When the events of Katropolis: Area 5 culminate into the final fight between Nao and Chizuko, Falco watches from his castle with pride. He knows Nao will win and end this little rebellion that seems to be brewing.

Sadly, that's not what happens. Instead, Chizuko manages to overpower Nao and as she begs not to be killed, Chizuko stabs her. This is then when Chizuko makes her threatening gesture to Falco that it's not over until he's dead too.

Nao's death becomes a driving factor for Falco later on...more on that later on the round...
