Description "A New Life"

Base is my watercolor "A New Day Is Here"...

This was one of the 12 paintings I did as a series expressing the emotional stages of a battle with breast cancer.

I was told I was dying of breast cancer. My old life did die. But God had a new one waiting for me, when all the storms had passed.

After losing my hair to chemo, this green hair was a symbol of recovery and new things waiting for me. I am many years past my "expiration date" now.

Thanks for telling me.

I'm racing through at the moment. Have a short notice commission to get finished. Something I'm very happy to do.

Thank you Sam. I am going to be a part of the community project, which was the deal I was talking about in my journal. I wrote the journal just a few hours ago, but you know that.

The "meeting" went very well.

I even wandered the neighborhood of the family which had given me the commission for "The Walk Now and Then". I had lost the contact info, and they live in one of those subdivisions where all the houses look alike and have about 5' between each one.

I FOUND the people. They showed me their photographs of the painting, and were all excited to have me paint it again. That is part of what I will do for this design thing. Maybe more, if I have time.

It goes to printer on Thursday. Perfect. I would have waited until now even if I had known about this for 3 months. Hah.

I really appreciated your vote of confidence.

This event, plus I signed up to get back on the horse and paint in the restaurant today, are cause for the latest deviation I posted.

I do love how the cloth "sculpture" looks. That will most definitely be a part of future collage work.
