Ever since I first saw 'Thumbelina' in 1994 and (my parents taped it for me to watch again when I was older, but I lost it when I was like...10) it rekindled some of my childhood's fondest memories. I truly love Don Bluth's Thumbelina, it made me feel so happy as a child to watch it. All through out my childhood I kept looking for this movie, as well as 'An American Tail'. I also fell in love with 1989's The Little Mermaid, who had the same actress as Thumbelina, playing Ariel. (Kool huh?!)These are my childhood movies, they're what makes me, well.... me. A child learns some morals through movies and stuff.
I learnt that if I want to be a fairy, I need to have awesome hair and make friends with a swallow.
It didn't work.
The swallow turned out to be a pigeon.

I have so many fond memories of this movie...I dressed up like her for Halloween too! The movie made me go on a bug-binge when I was little. I had several pet beetles and crickets.

<3 yeah, its classic, but shoulda got more attention, it came out the same time as some other disney movie, unluckily, so it didn't get as much reception as it shoulda x^x

That's so true about me too ^w^ , I like ran around trying to find An american tail. and thumblina was one of my favorties as well, i thought fairies where so cool and spiffy and i really wanted to be one.
I love all the movies you put up there and that reminded myself so much of me. i love pocotha- XD AH i can't spell it too. it was like my favo movie and i just rewatched it like a week ago

I remember that movie. I loved the songs, and I made the connection after I watched both movies back to back. I think that movie is one of my favorite kids movies, though I watched it later in life since I was 2 when the movie came out.
