I finally got to watch Iron Man this past weekend (I know, right?). Yesterday, I saw Iron Man 2. Now this morning, I'm uploading the first of what will likely be MANY Iron Man fanart pics, cuz OH MY GOD I HAVE FALLEN SO HARD IN LOVE!!! TONY STARK!!! AAAAAUGH!!! *FLAIL FLAIL FLAIL!* OMG PLEASE CAN I HAVE ONE?!?!AUGH! omg it's so ANGSTY and Robert Downey Jr. is SO AWESOME!!! The emotion and the ANGST and the drama and the ANGST and the tension and OH MY GOD THE ANGST!!!!
Can you tell? I really, truly, completely have fallen for this. I mean, for Christ's sake, Tony Stark is my DESKTOP PICTURE! I haven't done that in years!!! (I've usually opted for something that came with my computer or something simple or something I drew myself)
So yeah - the picture. Right, the picture. Ahem. So, for those of you who have seen Iron Man 2... (Okay, those of you who haven't, stop reading, and go RIGHT NOW to your nearest theater, if it's still in theaters (at the time of writing, it's in cheap theaters), or if it's the future, GO RENT IT! No no no, scratch that -- BUY IT!)....ahem, anyways, if you've seen Iron Man 2, you know the whole scenario where the thing that's keeping Tony's heart ticking is also, uhhh, poisoning him. I feel like this is might have happened if he hadn't figured out the solution to that riddle.... he would die, all alone. A consequence of his incredibly self-destructive tendencies and how he drove his two best friends away from him.... GOD DON'T YOU SEE WHY I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! ANGST!!! GLORIOUS ANGST!!!
Also, this is what happens when you drink a bunch of spiked tea, with the intent to go batshit insane and write the Joker part of your DC fanfic, and then decide to draw instead.
Did I mention that that costume IS INSANELY FUN TO DRAW?!?!? It's so hard, but so fun to figure out. It was like a puzzle.... a puzzle of his hot body.... *licks lips*
OH GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!?!?! XD

If he could have only told Pepper, he wouldn't have had to die alone at least. She would've been there with him even at the very end, as loyal as she always has been. Now that would be heart-breaking, imagine Pepper holding him in his final moments, knowing she couldn't do anything to save him.

:] I've never fallen for any character as hard as I did for Dick Grayson, but I was pleased with Iron Man - although I didn't like how he couldn't express what he wanted and instead went all self-destructive. I love this art, especially how the light is glancing off his hair and costume.

The self-destruction and flawed character and angst are exactly why I loved him so much. I just hurt so badly for him, especially in the second movie because he really really wanted to tell Pepper what was happening! I mean, he was scared out of his wits, and didn't know what to do, and actually went to her and tried to apologize for being such a jerk and to tell her why he was acting so out of control and that he was scared of dying and all this stuff and SHE WOULDN'T EVEN LET HIM TALK!! Oh my god it broke my heart so much. 
But yeah, I fell pretty hard for Tony Stark. XD I've picked myself up since then, but yeah. Dick Grayson is pretty awesome, but oh my god Tony.... :3

He tried! He fell short, but he tried! You could see it in his face when he realized he was wrong, he was just like "CRAP! I'M AN IDIOT!" (but all subtly, because Robert Downey Jr. is so awesome like that). And she just wouldn't talk to him. I mean, what if he'd died?!?! He really thought he was going to die. He really really believed it, and at that point, he knew he wasn't too far off. He was thinking of her. He wanted her to know that he cared about her and and and AUGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH SO MUCH ANGST!!! XD

There are surprisingly fewer Iron Man groups on dA than other fandoms, with lots fewer members. Kinda makes me incredibly sad. :3 But I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys the angst, and I'm glad you like my picture! Thanks! ^_^

Haha, I really really REALLY loved that - the fact that as well as typical "OH NOEZ ANOTHER SUIT LETS FIGHT" there was the underlying problem that the suit - and the chestpiece that was supposed to keep him ALIVE - was actually going to kill him before his next birthday. That was really seriously an awesome piece of plot.
And I agree - Stark probably wouldn't have even told Pepper or Rhodey. At all. So he probably WOULD die alone.

Actually, I could see him try so desperately to get a hold of one of them right at the very end, but they don't answer their phone calls cuz they're still mad at him. And then, they find out on the news the next day that he was found dead in his house and... and... ARGH THERE ARE SO MANY DELICIOUSLY ANGSTY POSSIBILITIES!!! XD

Another thing that could happen (and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up writing a fanfic about it), is that if he hadn't made the Starkonium, like, if he'd failed, he still would have had to go save the people at the Expo from Ivan. Fighting in the suit during that whole fiasco would mean that he would probably end up pushing himself into the 90%+ toxicity range, not giving him very long...

I'm certain he would have fought Ivan and possibly sacrficed himself in some sort of explosion because it was easier than having to tell Pepper and Rhodey he was nearly dead. He would have had some tragic last words. (I don't think he would have one without killing himself in an explosion - he wasn't strong enough.)

I KNOW!!! I LOVED Rhodey in the first film, and I was excited to see him in the second, and I was like "What? WHAT?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!" -_- The new actor's performance wasn't even very good compared to the old one. What gives!? Seriously!
And thanks!! Oh my god I am SO PROUD of that hand. XD Don't even get me started on how happy I am for it. The light, too, and... I'm just proud of this picture. :3
