Description Another day home sick, decided to make a turtle for my mom.
The safety eyes were a little bit too big for it's tiny head, causing the opening on the centre of it's head..
That's a shame, but for it being the second crochet project I've ever done, I'm kinda pleased!

The eyes are perfect, give it a whole "love me, please?" feel. And if you want that hole closed up a bit, you could use thread or embroidery floss in a matching shade and cinch it together. make sure you have long ends and you can stuff them inside the head (ive fixed more than one hole that way)

Oh that's very good advice

I will definitely give it a try when my mom's out and I can snatch it from her, she actually wants it as a keychain haha.

Thank you! Everyone who has commented has been so nice, it's great ^^

Especially when you're only just starting out

I think the big eyes makes this all the more adorable. X3 I love the different colours you've used for the shell; it makes it really unique and lovely. That's amazing that this is your second crochet project! o_O I really admire people that do that since I can't grasp the technique. XD;

I was taught how to crochet by a guy from school so I can do something during a scene in a play I was in. He started off the project and every time that scene came up, instead of getting closer to finishing the project, I was unraveling it, so I just pretended I knew what I was doing. XDDDD Hahahaha

Well thank you for the great compliment!

The big safety things on the side kinda tear the seams (how do you call those in crochet!?) open, which is a shame.

I watched a heapload of youtube videos and tutorials and just kinda started.

It's quite simple once you get the hang of it! ^^

You're welcome! Just keep doing it!

Ahhh I see. That really is a shame. <8/ If I had a suggestion to help, I'd give it to you. Maybe hot glue some of the more major seams? I dunno if it'll do to much though.

Hmmm... Maybe one day soon I should give it a go again. I'll have to check those out though. The Youtube videos would help a LOT since I'm more of a visual learner. XD
