Description
These are the Muses, goddesses of the arts, and proclaimers of heroes! Or, rather, three of them. These are the three eldest Muses; Calliope, muse of epics, Terpsichore, muse of dance, and Thalia, muse of comedy. They are the children of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and Calliope is said to have mothered Orpheus in some versions of his myth.

For all nine Muses, I took the theme of a basic white dress, and added hints of color to the white, all in rainbow colored order.

I wanted Calliope to look the most basic, partially because she's the leader/eldest muse/most well-known muse, and partially because "epic poetry" is kind of hard to visualize in a dress.

Terpsichore I had no problem designing. Shorter dress for more movement, lots of ribbons to look pretty dancing with, hair up in a ballerina bun. Easy.

Thalia was a little tricker, but I gave the the flared skirt to show a bit of playfulness and innocence. This is disputed by the fact that I gave her twin, Melpomene, the same dress, but whatever. (I wanted to pair the twins together, but I was going by threes and it didn't work out that way.)

Made using the Azalea's Dolls Heroine maker. I can't link the game itself because flash is dead (rip), but I used the Y8 browser hack on Azalea's website www.azaleasdolls.com/ .
