its wonderful and semi funny that it symbolizes the american way of life to you, because this shot was entirely set up. i can see what you mean, and i like your interpretation of it.
at the same time, everything in this shot was constructed. thats my dress and my shoes, i made her hold the cigarette and the furniture was from my living room until we mooved it to another room to take this picture. lol!
