Amano is a vegetarian because he can't bear eating anything with a face. He and Maiya the tiger are good friends despite having considerably different dining habits, though Amano always finds it a bit distressing when Maiya tries to talk to his food.

Back when I was trying to name this little guy, I came across something that said the name Amano meant "gentle". However, I can't find the site anymore and no where else on the internet does it say that Amano means gentle. So I don't know what it means! Haha. So sad. This site, though: [link] claims that Amano can mean "heavenly field" or "of rain" in Japanese.

I just made up Kizuki [though it already exist..dammit] and I stole Amano from Amano Ginji from my favourit anime GetBeckers.Yeah it is sad..but I like it a lot now when i know what it means...
