I think the ending was sad but romantic. Kim decides not to visit Edward because she wanted him to remember her the way she was when she was young, which i can understand.

One of my favorite movies when I was younger. it came out when I was a very little girl, so I had to wait a few years before I was allowed to watch it ^-^'. Yeah, that was the suckiest part about the whole movie, that the girl didn't run away with him, and didn't even gp visit him after it was safe. Dumbest ending possible.

That's what I always said! I could bitch slap her! She could have easily snuck up there and visited him rather then not visit at all... The ending makes me rage :<
