I kind of have to agree, if I were to dye my hair, it wouldn't turn out nearly as vibrant or as pretty as this ;.;
But I give props to all the dark skinned girls out there that can pull of any hair colour tho.
I follow some on insta and omfg they look fabulous!
Also, I've just realised that I have not drawn a lot darker skinned characters... idk why, I doodle from real life all the time and this includes people of different ethnicitys, but I just don't turn a majority of those doodles into full pieces...
Now I wanna draw a nepali girl or indian girl (I can't draw bois)

IKR, this is giving me so much inspiration!
I might sketch some more.
And true, but I want to try and branch out a bit. Not just in style or medium but in what I actually draw.
I very much like the anime-ish style that I have and I don't plan on straying away from it
but I'd like to experiment with that anime-ish style.
When drawing anime characters, there is the tendency to develop the 'Same Face Syndrome' where all of the characters
you draw look similar or have similar facial features. So I think by drawing different people from real life, and trying
to convey the features they have in my style, will challenge me to draw more loosely and less mechanically.
I've drawn bois, but it takes a lot more time and effort to draw them compared to girls I've noticed. I've been challenging my self to draw
more bois and that's why there are more bois than girls in my gallery.
But when ever I doodle, I tend to lean towards girls

Yay! Thank you! I'm trying really hard to improve.
So I'm really happy someones noticed!
I've seen some artist fall prey to the syndrome, but they're art is still really good (as in anatomy/colour wise)
But I've noticed that when I follow artist like that, I don't really feel the urge to always look at every new update they post.
Mainly because, even if the colouring is amazing, it just feels like looking at the same character being drawn every single time.
And I don't want that for my watchers.
And yes, lets draw some bois together... specifically sexy bois
Another thing I suck at... background I can never get backgrounds right - it just never feels right at least.
Some times I feel I'm putting too much detail in the bg and other times I feel like I'm putting too little effort.
And don't even get me started on composition...

Speaking of styles, I've noticed a trend of art youtubers talking about whether one can steal another persons style.
I've watched a few, some say yeah it's possible, but others say that it's not possible cause no style is original??
Like I'm confused. I get it when someones 'style' is similar to another artists cause I see it sometimes. Like when I'm following an
artist and think that... the way they draw kind of reminds me of someone else. But I know they're different artists.
I can't tell if I have a specific style or not. Sometimes it's semi realistic, others is very anime/cartoonish, so it amazes me when I
can tell who the artist of a drawing is just by looking at the artwork and the style.
Always sexy bois.
And yes, I can see that in your artworks! It definitely makes it more interesting to look at an art piece when the background
works with the foreground! Especially when an artist puts their own twist on it.
I know a few artists who draw the background in a sketchy style with watercolour like effect but have
the foreground be much sharper and cleaner and it looks amazing!
While some others tend to go for a more magical background without a specific object or thing in the background. For example, just a
gradient with some sparkles but it still works with the image.
I wanna be more conscious of what I'm drawing just like you.
Instead I just tend to wing it rather than plan it outand that's when errors arise

Well, I do believe that everyone can develop a unique style.
That doesn't mean that the styles can't be similar though.
My present art style came from me trying and learning through pictures of other artists.
If you trace back, I'm sure every artist had to get their art inspired from some style.
Your art style does stand out relatively well to me, although I can't deny it does hold similarities to some art.
Yours feels like anime-esque with a great deal of reality thrown inside, especially with your faces. I really like your faces.
Well, I don't plan all of my backgrounds.
Sometimes, I just have an idea for the character and once I draw them, I put down the background.
Once I see the character, I take a bit of time to image what sort of background it'd be.
Sometimes, I don't get anything, but other times I have something that fits well.
You don't have to plan out ideas; Winging it is sometimes the way to go. You just need an image to fit the character.

True, but I'm glad that my style stands out to you ><
Yours does too. Especially your style of rough lineart. That's something I'd like to incorporate in my
artwork. Lineart that isn't super clean and smooth. I've noticed that when I line over a sketch that I like,
I tend to loose a certain something only the sketch had.
I never know what it is, like it could be the softness of the eyes or the way the hair flows etc.
It just kind of disappears once I line everything.
So I've been trying to keep my lineart more messy and it seems to be working.
I'll try both ways for the background.
I've just finished a piece on a witch and I was stumped on the background.
So I just kind of winged it and drew squiggles and I turned it into an okay background.. I guess.
I'll upload the drawing tomorrow and you'll see.
I've also got another piece on a little girl I'm going to work on and I'm planning to make the background
a bit more detailed than the usual. So that'll be a challenge for me... wish me luck!

Thank you ><
And really ironic lol.
Tho, I like to keep clean lineart for chibis, cause it just makes
coloring them so much easier. (just use the fill bucket)
If you do happen to experiment with clean lineart, I can't wait to see it!
