The jackal mummy was in fact a high priest. But all that time of Fox and Krystal's encounter with it, the mummy was filled with the spirit of Anubis.

Fox and Krystal were bewildered with what had happened and why they are wrapped up. And at that point Anubis made himself visible to the two newly wrapped mummies.

He said to them "After many millennia, the pharaoh and queen are found. There is no longer need to exercise my power for you. By my will, you are now immortal, and have a place among the honored lords of Egypt."

"Glory and honor to you, Anubis." Fox and Krystal replied in exaltation.

It is said that "Anubis was the guardian of all kinds of magical secrets." Fox and Krystal have come to witness that he and his mysterious abilities continue to live on.
